Rivne region is located in the north-western part of Ukraine, on the territory of the region the state border between Ukraine and Belarus lies. The population of Rivne region is more than a million people, the region possesses vast forest fund, among the mineral resources of the Rivne region there are significant reserves of amber and basalt, the whole territory of Rivne region is sufficiently endowed with natural water resources. The economy of Rivne region has dominated energy sector, light industry, enterprises producing construction materials, timber and woodworking are also an important part of Rivne region economy. Enterprises of the region do trade with more than 40 countries all around the world. Rivne region has considerable potential for development of tourism industry, there are 1088 archeological monuments, 109 monuments of national importance, 13 settlements of Rivne region added to the list of historic settlements.
